Havana, Trinidad & Varadero

4 Days / 3 Nights

Day 1: Hola! Havana
Arrival at Havana International Airport, José Marti. Welcome by our local representative and tour guide. Transfer to hotel and welcome cocktail. Private dinner at the swimming pool with appetizer, wine and water. Overnight at the hotel. Tour Guide service.

Day 2: Havana – Cigars, Hemingway, Rum & Salsa
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Visit to ‘Partagas’ or ‘La Corona’ cigar factory. At the end of the morning, guided visit of Havana. You will be taken to the Revolution Square, the Vedado area in Havana, to the Malecon (sea front promenade), to Miramar area of town (one of the most exclusive residential districts of Havana City). You will also visit ‘El Morro’ Castle, and ‘La Cabana’ fortress, emblematic bastions of Colonial times. Visit to ‘La Vigia’ Farm, former residence of Ernest Hemingway located in the small town of San Francisco de Paula. (Closed on Mondays). Lunch at ‘El Patio’ Restaurant located in Colonial Havana, at the Cathedral Square with music by a trio of salsa. In the afternoon, guided walking tour of the historical center of the Colonial City, which includes: the Arms Square, the Cathedral Square, the fortress of the Royal Force from the 16th century. Visit to the House of Coffee and the House of the Rum “The Havana Club Foundation). Visit to the Museum of the City of Havana, former Captains General Palace. End of afternoon free to wonder around and do some shopping in this very animate district. Dinner at ‘La Ferminia’ Restaurant, located in the Miramar district, where you will be accommodated in a shady garden, accompanied by a Salsa Trio. Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel. Tour Guide service all day.

Day 3: Havana, Trinidad – a time warp of Spanish Colonial times / Varadero
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Check-out of hotel. Luggage is sent ahead toward Varadero. Departure to Havana domestic airport to board plane to fly to Trinidad, especially chartered for the group. Arrival in Trinidad. Transfer by truck 6X6 or tour bus to the center of the city of Trinidad, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO. Discover the city and its preserved colonial architecture, its stone paved streets, and its mansions with tile roofs and iron railing balconies, as well as, its pastel colored squares. Visit to the Romantic Museum (Brunette Palace). Visit to the Museum of Architecture and of the Holy Trinity Church, the Plaza Mayor, Von Humboldt Museum, and the Canchanchara bar where you will taste a delicious cocktail, typical of this area. Lunch in the patio of the Fortress of Santa Ana, former jail of Trinidad, to the sound of a Salsa band. Free afternoon to stroll along the streets of Colonial Trinidad. Transfer to the airfield of Trinidad 10km away from the City and depart for Varadero. Transfer to the hotel. Welcome drinks as the keys are handed to the guests. Buffet dinner at the hotel.
Overnight at the hotel. Tour Guide service all day.

Day 4: Varadero - Sailing & Swimming with Dolphins / Havana
Breakfast and departure to the Marina in Canadian buses that were used as school transportation. Crucero del Sol catamaran day cruise to Cayo Blanco. Stop to swim with dolphins. Continue on to the coral reef for snorkeling.
Arrival in the cay. Lunch in Cayo Blanco (grilled lobster tail). Free time to take advantage of the beach. Return to the Marina and transfer to the hotel. Some rooms will be put at the participants disposal to allow them to change clothes. A small buffet will be served. Departure by air-conditioned tour bus for Havana airport. Assistance at the airport and outbound flight departure.

• This is an example of an Express programme, interesting because all the domestic traveling is carried out by plane. However we recommend to add a supplementary night in Varadero in order to have more time to enjoy the beach resort or other activities.
